Job Summary
Support the Captain in executing all aspects of table service with synchronization and finesse, presenting and clearing courses while maintaining precision. Monitor guest tables to ensure flawless glassware, flatware, and surfaces, anticipating needs discreetly for beverage replenishment, utensil changes, and chair adjustments. Maintain immaculate mise en place by polishing tools and swiftly executing table resets and transitions. Communicate seamlessly with the kitchen and food runners to align service flow with pacing, and participate in pre-service briefings for menu changes and wine pairings. Uphold refined hospitality standards and represent the restaurant with professionalism. Requires acute attention to timing, spatial awareness, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry, and move large trays of food, plates, utensils, glasses, etc.
- California Food Handler Certification
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
- Experience in fine dining restaurant as Food Runner or service support role
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
