Job Summary
Wash and sanitize plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils while adhering to Flanigan's sanitation policies. Maintain kitchen area cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris throughout the shift. Prepare and maintain the dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing. Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, and beautification tasks. Complete and pass the food safety certification program in compliance with Florida statutes. Work in a damp, high-temperature environment, lifting up to 50 lbs several times per shift. Enjoy a five-day work week with two consecutive days off, paid vacation, health insurance, and free shift meals.
Required Qualifications
- Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift
- Can reach, bend, stoop
- Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- Support fellow employees as needed
- Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
