Job Summary
Perform basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned lawn and garden equipment, including John Deere and competitive products. Determine necessary repairs based on diagnostic findings and execute fixes as requested by the supervisor. Maintain professional communication across company locations to ensure information flow, prepare all required reports and forms, and participate in job-related training. Keep vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment in proper condition while maintaining current product knowledge. This safety-sensitive position requires good mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system knowledge, along with the ability to operate diagnostic software and vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of lawn and garden equipment.
- Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to use standard computer software applications such as diagnostic software and internet functions.
- Good skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Good driving record and safety habits.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
- Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
