Job Summary
Create and enhance robust ETL data pipelines to automate the management, transformation, and near-real-time delivery of mission-critical data streams for Department of Defense customers. Develop custom Java and Python scripts to meet specific dataflow requirements while providing ongoing support for existing infrastructure. Implement process enhancements to increase system reliability and performance within a multidisciplinary engineering team. Requires U.S. citizenship, active TS/SCI clearance, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with three years of related experience. Salary range is $90,300 - $189,600 USD.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience with Apache NiFi (NiagaraFiles) or similar software
- A self-starter with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
Desired Qualifications
- Basic experience with Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) solutions in the military services
- Technical project experience supporting the development, integration, testing, and deployment of systems for the military services
- Proficiency in Java and/or Python scripting
- Experience with containerization technologies
- Expertise in SQL database structures and mapping between different SQL databases
- Experience with API development techniques
- Proficiency with version control systems, preferably Git
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA for tracking and managing software development tasks
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
