Job Summary
Install, configure, and maintain data center hardware, including servers, racks, network equipment, and power distribution units. Manage structured cabling and fiber optic systems while conducting equipment troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Provide second-tier technical support for complex rack and network cabling configurations, collaborating with engineers on seamless integration. Perform problem resolution via telephone, email, and in-person interaction to determine issue severity and classify priorities. Review system configurations for workload planning and assist in developing continuous process improvement for support tools. Maintain system stability through proactive maintenance to ensure maximum availability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years experience
- associates degree
- 4+ years experience
- high school diploma/GED
- 6+ years experience
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- experience working in a Data Center environment
- Strong understanding of Network protocols
- Experience supporting both Hardware and Soft ware tools within a Data Center
- Flexible work schedule to cover 24x7x365
