Job Summary
Lead Controls Commissioning Engineer for data-center focused building automation at FPC Global, overseeing commissioning of BMS/BAS across complex international projects from client sites in India. Responsibilities include building systems integration, SCADA, PMS, PLC legacy and modern control systems, BMS cloud integration, data management and security, testing and troubleshooting; develop pre-functional checklists (PFCs), functional test procedures (FTPs), and IST scripts. Requires 7+ years in design/configuration of building automation and data-center infrastructure, certifications (NVQ/C&G) and vendor certifications (Tridium, Trend, Distech, etc.), strong knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, LoRaWAN, IP networking, and the ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings; excellent communication and organizational skills; willingness to work on client construction sites with hybrid remote collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in design and configuration of building automation systems and integration
- Proven experience commissioning controls in high-availability data centers
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds electrical certification
- Manufacturer certifications (Tridium, Trend, Distech etc)
- Ability to analyze data center control loop stability, temperature gradients, load transitions, and emergency mode responses
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Familiarity with data center networking architecture for controls (BACnet/IP networks, failover)
- Proficiency in BACnet, Modbus & LoRaWAN
- IP Networking (IPv4/IPv6, switches, routing, DHCP, WiFi, cabling)
- Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and control schematics
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills under time-critical commissioning conditions
- Lead Controls Commissioning Engineer across multiple projects
- Building Systems Integration (SCADA, PMS, PLC legacy and modern systems)
- BMS - Cloud Integration
- Data Management & Security
- Testing & Troubleshooting
