Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of engineers responsible for the deployment, operations, and scaling of CrowdStrike’s data platforms including Apache Cassandra, Apache Kafka, OpenSearch, caching solutions (Memcached, Redis), relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Kubernetes, and Zookeeper. Develop and execute long-term technical strategies to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of the data infrastructure; drive architectural decisions aligned with the company’s technical roadmap; oversee operations in large-scale Linux environments across cloud and bare metal; collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data services into the broader tech ecosystem; implement processes for continuous improvement focusing on reliability, performance optimization, and cost-effectiveness; provide technical leadership on data management best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years in a leadership role
- experience leading teams of 10+ engineers
- proven expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
- experience with data platforms such as Apache Cassandra, Apache Kafka, OpenSearch, Memcached, Redis, PostgreSQL, MySQL
- proficiency with Kubernetes and Zookeeper
- cloud experience across AWS, GCP, OCI, and Azure
- hybrid cloud and bare metal infrastructure management
- excellent communication and stakeholder management
