Job Summary
Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise Oracle database environments across cloud and data center settings. Monitor availability, performance, capacity, and system health while performing tuning, indexing, and query optimization. Validate backups, support disaster recovery, and manage user privileges, access controls, and audit trails. Develop SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data provisioning and troubleshoot production issues through root cause analysis. Support upgrades, migrations, patches, and integration with enterprise applications and APIs. Maintain technical documentation and adhere to configuration management and change control processes. This mission-critical role supports federal information systems at Hendall Inc. in Rockville, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Current Database Administrator certification
- Extensive experience administering enterprise relational database environments
- Demonstrated experience with Oracle database administration, performance tuning, security, backup, and recovery
- Experience with database design, data modeling, indexing, SQL, and PL/SQL
- Experience managing database users, roles, permissions, and audit capabilities
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting production database environments
- Experience supporting database upgrades, migrations, and releases
- Experience working in cloud and/or enterprise data center environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills
- Ability to satisfy federal background investigation and badging requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Database 19c or Oracle RDS
- Experience supporting Oracle WebLogic and Java-based enterprise applications
- Experience with AWS or other cloud environments
- Experience supporting high-availability or mission-critical systems
- Experience with GitLab, JIRA, ServiceNow, or comparable development and change-management tools
- Experience supporting federal government information systems
