Job Summary
Develop and execute a comprehensive data consulting practice strategy for Fresche India GCC, leading a team of consultants while staying hands-on with client engagements and architecture decisions. Own client relationships as a trusted advisor on database architecture, migration, and modernization, driving pre-sales efforts including solutioning and proposal development. Oversee delivery of on-premises, cloud, and hybrid data solutions, ensuring quality, timelines, and client satisfaction across Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and cloud environments. Analyze practice performance metrics to optimize revenue, margins, and team utilization, while championing the integration of AI and automation into delivery. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, delivery, and product teams to align messaging with client needs, and build relationships with technology partners.
Required Qualifications
- 20+ years of proven experience in database consulting, database architecture, or related technical roles
- significant experience delivering in the India market
- at least 3-5 years in a practice leadership or managerial capacity
- Deep hands-on expertise across multiple database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Deep hands-on expertise across cloud database services (AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL, etc.)
- Strong understanding of how AI and automation can be leveraged to drive efficiency in database management, monitoring, and optimization
- A track record of building and scaling consulting practices, driving revenue growth, and delivering successful client engagements in India
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex technical challenges into business value for clients
- Experience managing and mentoring a technical consulting team
- Experience in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of the Indian enterprise technology landscape, industry verticals, and client buying behavior
- A growth mindset with a genuine passion for technical innovation, continuous learning, and mentoring talent
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (Oracle, Microsoft, AWS, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- MBA a plus
