Job Summary
Monitor, patch, and maintain Oracle database infrastructure on OCI while tuning performance through query plan analysis and indexing strategies. Architect, deploy, and manage modern cloud-based systems in Azure, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB, to support microservices modernization. Own high-availability and disaster recovery postures across intra-region and cross-region scenarios, defining RPO/RTO targets with the business. Partner with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to build CI/CD pipelines for schema migrations and automate operational tasks. Provide real-time production support for mission-critical workloads, including on-call participation and incident response.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a DBA or Database Engineer
- strong proficiency in Oracle
- strong proficiency in PostgreSQL
- Fluency in PL/SQL
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience managing database infrastructure in the cloud
- Experience deploying database systems using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
- Experience deploying database systems using CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar)

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with NoSQL/JSON databases
- Experience managing database infrastructure in the cloud (Azure preferred)
- Track record building monitoring and alerting for critical database operations (Dynatrace or Azure Monitor a plus)
- Experience with Oracle (OCI)
- Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB Atlas (Azure)
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
- GitHub Actions and Jenkins for CI/CD
- Observability using Dynatrace and Azure Monitor
- AI-assisted tools (Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, Copilot)
