Job Summary
Design stable, reliable, and effective database processes while solving usage issues and malfunctions. Gather user requirements to identify new features and develop custom applications for intra-department use. Provide data management support to users, ensuring all programs meet company and performance requirements. Research new database products and protocols, consulting with management to analyze business functions and seek effective solutions. Maintain existing processes to help users retrieve data effectively and provide technical support to administrators and business users.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, security, and monitoring)
- Excellent analytical and organization skills
- An ability to understand front-end user requirements and a problem-solving attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- One to three years of database development/administration experience
- Strong creative and analytical thinking skills
- Well organized with strong project management skills
- Good interpersonal and supervisory abilities
- Ability to train and provide aid others
- Considerable knowledge of on-line and design of computer applications
