Job Summary
Design stable, reliable database processes and develop code including PL/SQL triggers, procedures, functions, and materialized views. Generate custom-driven applications for intra-department use in a rapid application development platform, primarily APEX. Conduct functional testing and deployment through the development life cycle while collaborating with administrators and business users to obtain requirements and provide technical support. Solve database usage issues and malfunctions, ensuring all programs meet company and performance requirements. Gather user requirements to identify new features and assist users in retrieving data effectively. Research new database products, services, and protocols to improve information availability and decision-making capability.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, security, and monitoring)
- Excellent analytical and organization skills
- An ability to understand front-end user requirements and a problem-solving attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- One to three years of database development/administration experience
- Strong creative and analytical thinking skills
- Well organized with strong project management skills
- Good interpersonal and supervisory abilities
- Ability to train and provide aid others
- Considerable knowledge of on-line and design of computer applications
