Job Summary
Hands-on database administrator and data management specialist responsible for design, sustainment of core data assets used for programmatic reporting, performance management, and decision support. The role manages business datasets, ensures data integrity across systems, and implements processes for reliable, repeatable data integration and transformation. Typical assignments include building and maintaining shared datasets for Power BI dashboards, Power Apps, and automated workflows; creating ETL routines to consolidate data from systems like SAM, FSMS, and SharePoint; designing relational data models to support reporting and applications; implementing data quality controls and reconciliation processes; and collaborating with analysts and developers to optimize datasets for analytics. Requires on-site work in Washington DC, a Bachelor’s degree, and 5+ years of relevant experience; proficiency with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and Power Platform tools is expected; familiarity with asset management or ERP data is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in database administration, data engineering, or data management roles
- Strong knowledge of relational database concepts, data modeling techniques, and data integration practices
- Proficiency with SQL and ETL tools or frameworks used for data consolidation and transformation
- Experience supporting enterprise datasets used for dashboards, analytics, and reporting
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate is preferred
