Job Summary
Maintain and enhance ABF Australia's existing SQL database architecture while executing daily and monthly processes critical to portfolio surveillance and investment decisions. Develop and improve data processing and reporting solutions using SQL, VBA, Python, and DAX to ensure the timely and accurate collection of data. Provide database troubleshooting, bug fixing, and problem resolution, and produce comprehensive system documentation. Collaborate closely with the Research and Data team to advise on optimal data query and extraction methods for management and client reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong experience with SQL Server, including database design, optimization, tables, indexes, and stored procedures
- Advanced SQL and Excel skills
- Ability to work independently within a small team and manage competing priorities
- Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and resolve challenges efficiently
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with VBA, DAX, and Python
- Knowledge of fixed income credit markets and market risk, including asset-backed securities
- A sound understanding of financial mathematics
