Job Summary
Database Administrator responsible for MS SQL DBA tasks, maintenance and security of client databases, working with Software Development teams, System Owners, and stakeholders to ensure production readiness, backups, performance, and compliance. Develop and maintain production QA, staging, and development databases based on application requirements; create artifacts such as design specifications and data dictionaries; collaborate to establish best practices and policies; monitor environments and provide feedback on problem areas; ensure proper design of database objects and impact assessment of changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science and 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience managing mission-critical, highly transactional, and distributed databases (MSSQL preferred)
- Experience with enterprise features of MSSQL server: always on availability groups, SSRS, and Microsoft clustering
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving database integrity, performance, replication, and connectivity issues
- Experience automating routine administrative tasks
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
