Job Summary
Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases while monitoring performance and implementing tuning strategies. Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning to ensure high availability through clustering and replication. Troubleshoot database issues, manage maintenance plans, and support application deployments and migrations. Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and design, while creating technical documentation and ensuring security compliance. Requires 3+ years of SQL Server experience and a Bachelor's degree. Located in Athens with competitive compensation and medical benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server Administration, T-SQL, and database performance tuning
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies
- Knowledge of SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery (Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, or Replication)
- Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Understanding of database security best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
