Job Summary
Senior Database Administrator needed to support DCGS Infrastructure at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Responsibilities include managing PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server databases in classified DoD environments, ensuring data integrity and performance for Army intelligence systems.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret / SCI clearance (required at time of hire; Secret with SCI eligibility may be considered).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant database administration experience within the past 8 years.
- U.S. citizenship (required per DoD contract regulations).
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting the DCGS-A Program or other Army intelligence systems.
- Hands-on experience administering PostgreSQL in Linux and Windows environments.
- Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and performance tuning.
- Demonstrated ability to apply DISA STIG hardening and security baselines to databases.
- Experience with database high availability, replication, and disaster recovery techniques.
- Familiarity with storage optimization and data replication solutions (SAN, NAS, ZFS, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of query optimization, indexing, and schema design.
- IAT-II certification (Security+, CCNA-Security, or equivalent).
- Experience with automated patch management and database compliance tools.
- Familiarity with RMF processes, ACAS scans, and DoD cybersecurity workflows.
