Job Summary
Database Administrator responsible for installing, configuring, administering, monitoring, and maintaining database environments across production, development, QA, and disaster recovery; manage NoSQL, relational, and caching technologies including Cosmos DB, Redis, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL; perform upgrades, patching, migrations, and environment refresh activities; ensure high availability, uptime, and optimal performance; monitor and tune database performance, optimize queries, indexing, and partitioning; implement security controls, encryption, access management, and auditing; manage database roles, permissions, authentication, and authorization; support production deployments and change management; participate in on-call support; remote work options.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of database administration experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in Azure Cosmos DB and Redis
- Experience with cloud database administration (Azure preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL (nice to have)
- Experience in healthcare, hospital systems, or regulated industries (nice to have)
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid environments (nice to have)
- Knowledge of data migration and ETL processes (nice to have)
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications (nice to have)
- On-call support for production systems
