Job Summary
Experienced Database Administrator with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle and SQL Server, supporting 24/7 global database environments across multiple platforms. Responsible for performance tuning, HA/DR, cloud migrations (AWS/Azure), automation, and incident management within a fast-paced financial services setting. Strong collaboration with global teams and a focus on automation and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on DBA experience, preferably in Financial Services
- Expertise managing Oracle databases (Oracle 23ai, 19c)
- Experience managing MS SQL databases (SQL Server 2022, 2019)
- Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC and SQL Server AlwaysOn
- Proven experience in performance tuning, data replication, high availability, disaster recovery, and analytics/reporting solutions
- Proficiency with enterprise monitoring tools (Oracle OEM, Spotlight, AppDynamics)
- Automation skills using Unix shell scripting, Windows PowerShell, and Ansible
- Experience migrating databases to cloud platforms (AWS and Azure)
- Able to operate in fast-paced, agile, high-pressure environments
- Capable of managing outages and major incidents effectively
- Familiarity with ITIL standards
- Solid working knowledge of Red Hat Linux and Windows Server environments
Desired Qualifications
- Oracle Middleware, WebLogic 12c, and Oracle E-Business Suite
- Hands-on knowledge of MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
- Cloud technologies and DevOps principles
- ITIL certification (desired)
- Professional certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified Professional, or AWS Solutions Architect (preferred)
