Job Summary
Systems Administrator will analyze operating applications and infrastructure to provide optimal performance and integration; modify, code, test, debug, and document systems, operating systems, programs, compilers, tools; research and study new products, test for compatibility, evaluate, and make recommendations for purchase. Provide support for assigned applications, ensuring high availability; hands-on and remote troubleshooting and problem resolution; drive efforts to proactively identify issues improving availability and performance; maintain incident resolution ownership to exceed SLAs; coordinate with team members, track problems with vendors, and manage upgrades, change management, and budgeting; stay current on security issues and implement monitoring processes; generate and maintain virtual servers, perform cloning and snapshots, and verify backups; assist in special projects and broader strategic initiatives; banking industry experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience with application/system support
- SQL experience and database administration is required
- Working knowledge of Progress OpenEdge databases is required
- Linux, Unix, or AIX operating system experience is required
