Job Summary
Database Administrator (DBA) at albo — manage, optimize, and scale our core financial data infrastructure in a hybrid environment (SingleStoreDB, MongoDB, MySQL) with on-premise and cloud components. Ensure 99.99% availability, security, and performance for SPEI-related systems; leverage AI to accelerate troubleshooting, automate scripting, and simulate load scenarios. Collaborate with Backend and Data Engineering to design scalable data models, implement disaster recovery plans, and maintain strict access controls in a fintech context.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years as a DBA in high-transaction, production environments
- Strong hands-on experience with MySQL, MongoDB, and SingleStoreDB (or similar)
- Deep expertise in execution plans, query optimization, and hardware/resource tuning
- Experience using AI tools to increase efficiency, automate tasks, and write robust infrastructure scripts
- Fintech/Banking background or experience handling critical financial systems or payment gateways (knowledge of SPEI regulations is a major plus)
- Automation skills: scripting (Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible)
- High Availability & DRP: cross-site replication for DRP and configuring Group Replication to build resilient clusters
