Job Summary
Database Administrator / Data Engineer to join a permanent, onsite role in Copenhagen, Denmark, supporting a large-scale public sector programme. The role blends traditional database administration with data engineering and cloud technologies, including building and maintaining data integrations, ETL processes, data pipelines, and ensuring security and performance. Requires minimum 5 years in databases/data platforms, strong SQL/relational database skills, ETL/data quality/mapping experience, SQL Server, Linux, and mandatory AWS expertise (AWS Glue, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda). PostgreSQL is highly desirable. Danish language proficiency is essential. Onsite requirement: minimum four days per week at the client location in Copenhagen.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience working with databases and data platforms
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
- Experience with ETL design principles, data quality, and handling structured and unstructured data
- Experience with data modelling and data migration
- Experience with SQL Server
- Experience working with Linux environments
- AWS experience is a mandatory requirement
- Experience with AWS ecosystem: AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda
- Strong PostgreSQL experience is highly desirable
- Python and PySpark
- Data engineering and data pipeline development
- Fluent Danish is essential
