Job Summary
Manage user access control and resolve incidents across hybrid environments spanning on-premise and Azure. Monitor performance, optimize queries, and execute backup and recovery operations to ensure data integrity. Automate tasks using PowerShell, Bash, and SQL procedures while collaborating with DevOps and infrastructure teams on deployment pipelines. Document all activities and adhere to ITIL processes for incident and change management. Leverage ARM templates for cost optimization and security best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in enterprise-level database administration
- User management & access control across MSSQL, PostgreSQL
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure: Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with ARM templates, monitoring, cost optimization, and security best practices
- Incident & problem management, root cause analysis
- Performance tuning, query optimization
- Scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Perl, SQL procedures/functions
- Understanding of NoSQL concepts (MongoDB)
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
