Job Summary
Database Administrator will join Cirrus’ Data & Analytics team to deploy, implement, and administer databases across on-premises and cloud (IaaS/PaaS); responsibilities include patching, developing standards and documentation, supporting data governance, monitoring security and performance, resolving issues to ensure online services, contributing to change management, mentoring other team members, and collaborating with internal/external resources to maintain a reliable database environment.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a Database Administrator role
- 2+ years of experience related to performance tuning and optimizing database processing
- Experience with managing, implementing, and maintaining a cloud-based database platform, preferably Azure Cloud
- Knowledge of Azure tools (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse) preferred
- Ability to manage tasks and work independently in a professional, deadline-based environment
- Strong communication skills to participate in team-based client delivery projects
