Job Summary
Job-specific responsibilities focus on BI/Analytics for Financial Services: contribute to a data/BI competence center working on decision-support projects and Big Data for banking clients. Responsibilities include: requirement understanding for reporting, data source/destination modeling, ETL migration strategy, defining extraction → storage → restitution chains, testing of restitutions (OLAP cubes, dashboards), production deployment and maintenance, and data restitution via dashboards (Power BI) and OLAP cubes. Technical environment includes Power BI, Azure Synapse, SSMS, SSAS, SQL Server, TABular Editor, Git, JIRA, with exposure to Big Data tools (GCP/BigQuery appreciated). Requires solid experience (≥5 years) as Data Analyst/Data Analyst in banking/payment contexts, strong SQL, ability to write functional/technical specs, UAT, and to interface with business stakeholders in Agile settings. Optional telework up to 2 days/week. The role also encompasses model/cube design (SSAS), data management and BI/Analytics platform design, and opportunities for multiple career paths within the Sopra Steria ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Data Analyst / Analyste Data, ideally in banking or payment/monetary context (payment methods, card flow, SEPA)
- Advanced SQL
- Ability to write functional and technical specifications and perform functional testing (UAT)
- Experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and working with data squads or large projects
- Experience with Power BI (expertise) and data visualization best practices
- Knowledge of Azure environments (Synapse, SSMS, SSAS, Tabular Editor)
- Experience with SSAS cubes and data modeling; development of dashboards and dashboards in Power BI
- Git (delivery) and JIRA
- GCP/BigQuery appreciated
- Ability to interact with business stakeholders, lead workshops, challenge needs, and propose data solutions
- Experience with ETL concepts, data extraction, storage, and restitution
- Experience in data management and BI/Analytics foundations
- French language proficiency
