Job Summary
Execute robust testing on code and services for lending data microservices and daily data jobs, prioritizing application-facing functional data and business intelligence reporting integrity. Utilize tools like RestAssured, Unirest, and JavaScript-based UI automation frameworks to validate systems monitored via Datadog. Triage issues, multitask across multiple products, and set up best practices, coding guidelines, and tools to enhance team productivity. Facilitate decision-making, encourage healthy discussions, and delegate tasks while maintaining accountability for team areas.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of software quality assurance experience working on web applications, REST APIs and/or Salesforce
- Minimum 2 years programming experience with JavaScript, NodeJS, Java, Spring Boot, Python
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent relevant experience)
- Understanding of Data architectures like Medallion and tools like Airflow, DAGs, etc
- Advanced SQL and Data profiling
- Experience in communicating with other technical teams and on big initiatives and end to end testing
- Strong sense of ownership and, urgency, and drive
- Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and ability to multitask on multiple products and projects
- Ability to understand system architecture and infrastructure
- Deep understanding of JavaScript automation framework and/or iOS/Android automation frameworks highly desired
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with API testing tools and frameworks such as RestAssured and/or Unirest
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript-based UI automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO)
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as TestRail and JIRA
- Experience monitoring and validating systems using Datadog
- Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially in environments leveraging cloud-native services
- Ability to delegate to other team members
- Ability to bring cutting edge technologies, new processes for the betterment of the team
- Set up best practices, coding guidelines, tools and other processes which would help team be more productive
- Encourage healthy discussions within the team and facilitate decision making
- Keeping other team members accountable for their areas
- Have a multiplier effect on the team. Constant training and upbringing the team
