Job Summary
Lead technical teams on telecom/architectural installation projects; oversee the physical installation of cabling, survey worksites to determine best installation practices, coordinate workflow within the unit, and provide on-the-job training to other technicians. Responsibilities include leading teams on projects of varying sizes, communicating with project management and clients, serving as liaison between office and field, developing project plans with materials, schedules, and manpower, tracking tools/materials, enforcing safety protocols, maintaining a safe and organized jobsite, coordinating with other trades, monitoring schedules and milestones, and interpreting drawings sets (architectural, AV, electrical as related to telecom, reflected ceiling, telecommunications, and overall site plans). Familiarity with Plan Grid, Bluebeam, MS Office, and related software; strong communication and conflict-resolution skills; ability to create a team atmosphere; travel to project sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 30 (preferred but not required)
- OSHA 10
- Aerial lift certification
- Fall protection certification/training
- Proficient in construction-related software (Plan Grid, Bluebeam)
- Understanding of blueprints and architectural symbols
- Knowledge of firestopping principles as it pertains to telecom pathways
- MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Bluebeam
