Job Summary
Administer Linux servers within a virtual environment and implement security compliance across multi-network data processing systems. Conduct day-to-day security operations including scans, audits, and configuration management for security software, hardware, and firmware. Devise solutions for complex problems by analyzing system architectures and translating user use cases into technical requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, and analysts to support operations and deploy innovative solutions using container and virtualization technologies. Maintain operational security posture and provide corrective actions for highly complex, multi-disciplinary challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
- approximately 4+ years of experience
- At least four (4) years of recent experience implementing systems processes and/or software development methodologies, planning, designing and analyzing functional system processes - either hardware or software-based systems
- Active TS/SCI with Poly
- Demonstrated experience with Linux system administration and engineering
- Demonstrated ability to devise solutions for complex problems that require in-depth analysis of tangible and intangible factors
- Experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary project team that may include engineers, technicians, and analysts
- Significant verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment; present and explain technical information to colleagues, management or sponsors
- Experience maintaining operational security posture for information systems and performing day-to-day security operations of the system, to include scans and security audits
- Experience providing configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and a demonstrated record of success developing and implementing innovative solutions for a diverse range of highly complex multi-disciplinary problems and devising corrective actions where necessary
- Experience configuring, deploying, and maintaining (IdAM) solutions, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and PKI enablement systems
- Experience with container and virtualization technologies such as Docker, VMware, or RedHat Virtualization
- Experience with RDBMS such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, or XML and JSON based semi-structured technologies
- Experience with software development in Java, C, C++, C#, or other programming or scripting languages
- Experience working with both users and developers to properly capture and translate system use cases to technical requirements
- Experience investigating and documenting existing system architectures
- Experience supporting operations
