Job Summary
Data Steward, Manufacturing role accountable for serving as a subject matter expert for designated data domains, ensuring data quality and governance across data sources, and enabling automated monitoring and self-service data access. Responsibilities include developing business logic for IT implementations, maintaining field-level data definitions, collaborating with Product Managers, Centers of Excellence, IT, Analytics, and Data Scientists to support data use, managing data security access rules, communicating data updates from vendors, and driving adoption of data sources across business areas. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of data stewardship/governance experience, strong data-technical skills (metadata, catalogs, data quality rules), and global collaboration abilities. Flexible work model combines remote work with intentional in-person collaboration; primary locations in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Bogota, Colombia.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Steward or in data governance / data management roles
- Strong technical capability to work with large datasets (Big Data), identify data issues, and discuss data quality
- Hands-on experience with: Business glossary and metadata management, data quality rules and monitoring, data catalogs and field-level definitions
- Solid understanding of database structures and data platforms
- Ability to work mostly in a backend role (~70%), with limited but effective business interaction
- Advanced English (mandatory – role requires global interaction)
- Strong collaboration skills with technical teams (IT, Analytics, Data Science)
- High attention to detail, structured mindset, and problem-solving orientation
