Job Summary
Data Steward II provides data governance leadership and oversight for data-related activities within the business, partnering with Technology and SMEs to drive the Data Strategy for the LOB. The role leads cross-functional teams on end-to-end data governance programs, ensures adherence to data policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, and delivers training and guidance to stakeholders on metadata, data quality, retention, and risk management. The position requires an undergraduate degree, extensive experience in data governance and management, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and coordinate across multiple teams.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or technical certificate in a related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of data governance/data management practices
- Knowledge of data policy, standards & strategy
- SQL experience
- Data warehouse experience (preferred)
- Data reporting experience (preferred)
- Data analysis experience (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Ability to mentor/coaching others
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects
