Job Summary
Data Steward role in Kyiv for a defense-tech focused environment. Responsibilities include technical documentation of data entities and relationships (ERD, table/field descriptions), Source-to-Target Mapping with BA/SA and BI engineers, documenting business context for metrics, logic, and field-population rules, maintaining the Data Catalogue with field semantics and lineage accuracy, producing BI reporting passports (descriptions of metrics, data sources, and update frequencies), and monitoring data quality checks. Requires 2+ years in Data/Systems Analyst or Technical Writer roles on data projects, ability to read SQL to analyze transformation logic, understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Marts, and Medallion Architecture, experience collaborating with BI teams and the reporting lifecycle, and strong technical documentation skills. Offers relocation package, Kyiv-based office with up to 10 days remote per year, vacations, health benefits, and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience as Data/Systems Analyst or Technical Writer in Data projects
- Proficient reading SQL code to analyze transformation logic
- Understanding of DW concepts, Data Marts, and Medallion Architecture
- Experience collaborating with BI teams and understanding the lifecycle of reporting
- Strong technical documentation skills (clear, structured, concise descriptions of complex technical information)
- Relocation package availability (stated)
