Job Summary
Compile, explore, transform, and validate data from multiple internal and external sources for reporting and analytics. Develop, maintain, and document automated data workflows, dashboards, and visualizations while performing profiling, reconciliation, and quality assurance. Partner with Data Engineering and Data Visualization leads to ensure adherence to reporting standards and scalable, governed solutions. Translate business requirements into actionable insights and support recurring and ad hoc reporting requests. This role supports the Regional Reporting Team within M&T Bank's data solutions initiatives, focusing on modernizing reporting capabilities and improving access to trusted insights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Combined minimum of 7 years higher education and/or work experience (in lieu of a degree)
- Minimum of 3 years related experience (in lieu of a degree)
- Experience working with large datasets and relational databases
- Experience developing SQL queries and performing data analysis
- Experience translating business requirements into reporting or analytical solutions
Desired Qualifications
- 4 or more years related work experience in data analysis
- Intermediate skills in programming languages such as SQL, Python
- Experience working with a statistical analysis software package
- Experience with one or more cloud databases
- Experience working within an agile environment
