Job Summary
Lead pre-sales due diligence and full implementation for the Alpha Data Platform, acting as the primary architect for client C-suite and data teams. Document target solution architectures, design custom components, manage environment setup, and oversee go-live hypercare support. Drive end-to-end solutioning for Front-to-Back data flows, collaborate with internal application owners and external vendors like Bloomberg and Refinitive, and resolve data defects through root cause analysis. Manage shared ownership of large client implementations while partnering with Product managers to address data service gaps. Engage with L2/L4 support teams and contribute to standard operating procedures to ensure adoption across diverse financial services domains.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in the field of computer science, data management or other financial services technical field
- 15+ years in data management, data architecture, product and market data roles and responsibilities
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills across all channels and levels of recipients including team members, colleagues, clients at all levels including C suite
- Experienced hands-on ETL, Snowflake, CI/CD Pipelines, SQL, Data Quality rules and Data-Readiness design and implementation of data platforms
- Experience in designing and implementing relational data models for a variety of data sets which include audit, time series, complex relationships, and high-volume
- Experience and understanding of system performance and profiling techniques of complex data model for storage and consumption
- Extensive experience with Financial Services data domains – Security Master, Entity Master, Benchmarks, Positions, Transactions, Cash, Performance, Analytics, ESG etc
- Knowledge of Data Management, Data Governance, Service Catalogue, Data Lineage tools, Operational Dash boards, Process Monitoring tools
- Working knowledge in Azure / AWS cloud platforms with Snowflake and Databricks
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge about internal and external integrations, triage issues and implement/recommend solutions to data problems and anomalies
- Experience and/or knowledge of application of Machine Learning and AI in Data Management within Financial services is a plus
- Prior experience with State Street and Charles River Development (CRD), Blackrock Aladdin or other OMS is considered a plus
