Job Summary
Data Services Technician responsible for installation and maintenance of telecommunications services, cabling, customer premise equipment (CPE), field equipment and terminals under the supervision of the Plant Supervisor. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing defective network equipment, installing and maintaining services (voice, data, ethernet, special circuits), coordinating with other departments for service updates, documenting installation and repair work, monitoring alarm systems, and participating in on-call rotation with potential travel. Requires adherence to safety policies, use of PPE, and ability to work at heights and in varied environments; on-call evenings and weekend hours are required.
Required Qualifications
- High-School diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in telecommunications data services
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
