Job Summary
Data Scientist in Visa Consulting & Analytics embedded in the VCA Data Science team, accountable for delivering data analytics projects for Visa clients (credit cards and retail banking focus) and driving portfolio strategies using client data and third-party sources. Act as an analytics advocate within partner teams, continually evaluate data sources and methodologies, explore leading techniques from other markets, and manage stakeholder communication with clients. The role emphasizes analytical problem-solving, data storytelling, and the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently in a remote setting.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
- Degree in a Quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 3+ years of analytics experience in applying statistical solutions to business problems
- Experience in credit card analytics, and/or retail banking analytics
- Hands on experience with one or more data analytics/programming tools such as SAS/Hadoop/R/SQL/Python/Hive
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
- Presentation and data storytelling skills including strong hold on MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated, results oriented individual with ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Experience in working closely with data science community
