Data Scientist

Job Summary
End-to-end ownership of analytics projects across experimentation, product analytics, and storytelling. Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments across product, growth, and marketing surfaces; investigate product, growth, and retention questions; build dashboards and self-serve reporting in Looker or Mode; develop predictive and statistical models; communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders; partner with data engineering on warehouse modeling, data quality, and instrumentation; collaborate with product managers, engineers, marketers, and leadership to deliver end-to-end analytical solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a data science, analytics, or quant role (3+ years)
- Strong SQL and proficiency in Python or R
- Solid grounding in statistics, experimentation, and causal inference
- Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests in production environments
- Experience working in modern warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Familiarity with BI tools (Looker, Mode, Tableau)
- Comfort with DBT or similar transformation tools
- Ability to communicate analytical work to non-technical audiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Git for code and analysis management
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to write clear requirements and analytical briefs (Jira experience preferred)
- Bonus: Background in product analytics or growth
- Familiarity with classical ML and forecasting methods
- Experience with marketing or influencer analytics
- Knowledge of cloud data services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is advantageous
- Understanding of data privacy and governance best practices
