Job Summary
Deliver complex data-science projects across a diverse data estate using advanced data science techniques, statistical modelling, and AI/ML approaches. Mentor junior team members, conduct code reviews, and support skill development; manage stakeholder relationships and translate insights to business leaders. Build comprehensive knowledge of The Access Group's products and processes, stay current with data science best practices, and contribute to collaborative learning and knowledge sharing. Stay aligned with business objectives, ensure robust and well-documented analytical solutions, and actively develop skills in technical capabilities, stakeholder management, and project management.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Python expertise with deep knowledge of data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch)
- Expert SQL skills for complex data extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Extensive AI/ML experience including model development, deployment, and monitoring in production environments
- Statistical expertise with strong foundation in experimental design, hypothesis testing, and advanced statistical methods
- Big data experience with tools like PySpark, Databricks, or similar distributed computing platforms
- Project leadership skills including project planning, stakeholder management, and team coordination
- Business acumen with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate insights to executive audiences
Desired Qualifications
- Experience mentoring junior data scientists
- Experience leading projects and coordinating with stakeholders
- Familiarity with PySpark/Databricks or similar big data platforms
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data/AI services
- Experience with MLOps practices and model deployment pipelines
- Understanding of data governance, privacy, and ethical AI practices
- Proficiency with Git version control and collaborative development practices
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
