Data Scientist Senior (Population Health)

Job Summary
Senior Data Scientist leads end-to-end data science initiatives in population health, driving the lifecycle of analytics projects from conceptualization to deployment. Builds and deploys advanced analytics and ML models to explain and predict healthcare utilization, quantify impact of care delivery changes, and inform care pathways. Translates clinical and operational data into actionable insights, collaborates with clinical/operational leaders to define success measures, and mentors junior data scientists. Utilizes techniques such as clustering, dimensionality reduction, and deep generative models to uncover patterns in large healthcare datasets, validates model performance, ensures clinical usefulness, and oversees production deployment. Strong emphasis on communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders, developing dashboards and technical documentation, and staying current with ML/AI advancements in healthcare.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Related Field (Required)
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience (Required)
- Experience with Databricks, Python, SQL, advanced statistical analysis, machine learning
- Healthcare experience preferably with Population Health initiatives
- Familiarity with Epic Clarity, Caboodle, claims data, CMS/Medicare populations, or payer-provider analytics
