Data Scientist, Safety at OpenAI — solve complex, high-impact problems at the intersection of product, safety, policy, and research; help build analytical foundations to enable safe, responsible deployment of AI; measure harmful or abusive behavior, detect fraud/manipulation, evaluate and improve safety classifiers and mitigation systems; design experiments and causal analyses; build prevalence estimators, dashboards, monitoring systems, and executive decision frameworks; diagnose gaps in safety and integrity systems using behavioral and product data; collaborate with Product, Engineering, Policy, Research, and Operations to improve safety outcomes; work with strong ownership and independently drive analytic solutions in evolving domains.
