Job Summary
Data Scientist (Risk Modeller) in the Credit Risk Modelling Unit within Risk Analytics. Lead modelling pieces, develop and maintain Credit Risk models for internal ratings, lead model monitoring framework, maintain R/Python codebase, identify data sources and translate data into credit insights, and communicate technical information to business colleagues. Requires 2+ years in financial/credit risk, knowledge of modelling techniques (multivariate regressions, categorical models), strong R/Python/SQL skills, understanding of Basel/IFRS9/EBA, and fluency in English. Hybrid work option with flexibility and the possibility to work from anywhere in the EU, Iceland, Switzerland, and the UK (up to 90 days/year); Baltics-based with Vilnius, Lithuania location.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Financial/Credit Risk area (banking/fintech) or related internal ratings based approach
- Knowledge of modelling techniques such as multivariate regressions and models with categorical response variables
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong R/Python coding, and SQL skills
- Good understanding of model risk management, governance of models and related regulations (Basel, EBA, IFRS9)
- Good understanding of end-to-end credit life cycle for retail and wholesale portfolios (advantage)
- Fluent English in spoken and written communication
- Higher degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Business Management or similar fields
