Job Summary
Quantifind is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Data Science team, where you'll translate real-world problems into quantitative language, find algorithms to solve those problems, and implement them in code. Candidates should have a master’s degree in a quantitative field and at least 2 years of industry experience. Strong skills in statistics, probability, and machine learning are crucial, along with proficiency in programming languages like Scala, Java, Python, or R. Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and working with large datasets is preferred, along with excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
- At least 2 years of professional industry experience, in addition to academic experience
- Outstanding quantitative and analytical ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Scala / Java, Python, R
- Prior experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods such as Word and Contextual Embeddings, Named Entity Recognition, Topic Modeling, large-scale Document Classification, and Sequence-to-Sequence Models
- Ability to apply software engineering best practices to build scalable, reliable ML pipelines
- Prior experience working with large-scale datasets (Millions of records) using SQL and Spark
