Job Summary
Data Scientist, Principal (DCO) Senior responsible for performing statistics, machine learning, and analytic approaches to answer key intelligence questions and to lead major technology assignments. Applies ML techniques to identify patterns, build and optimize classifiers, create automated anomaly detection systems, and integrate data from traditional and non-traditional sources. Evaluates models for production use, monitors performance, and refines analyses in collaboration with software developers and analysts. Produces reusable results and documentation, communicates findings to decision-makers and stakeholders, and maintains a configuration management plan for data sets. Requires proficiency in Python, experience with Docker and Kubernetes, end-to-end project experience, and three or more years of Defensive Cyber Operations and ML/model evaluation experience; TS/SCI with polygraph is required. Location: Annapolis Junction, MD (US).
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering or related discipline
- TS/SCI with polygraph is required
- 10 or more years of experience with a Master's degree
- 12 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's degree
- 16 or more years of experience with an Associate's Degree or High School Diploma
- Proficient in Python
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with end to end workflows and projects
- Three or more years of Defensive Cyber Operations experience
- Three or more years of Machine Learning techniques and statistical model evaluation
