Job Summary
Design and develop algorithms and models against large datasets to create business insights for price optimization and promotions. Lead analytics projects and independently execute solution development using advanced analytical methodologies to drive profitability and efficiency. Communicate insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical leaders, presenting progress and impacts to influence execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine project goals and incorporate business knowledge into the solution approach. Build and maintain a library of reusable algorithms and codified data products to ensure future project leverage. This role supports the development of Home Depot's advanced analytics infrastructure, leveraging data science as a competitive advantage to inform decision-making across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics
- Proficient in Python and SQL
- Mastery utilizing statistical techniques to identify key insights that help solve business problems
- Demonstrated proficiency in predictive modelling like optimization, forecasting, or recommendation
- Demonstrated proficiency in predictive modelling, data mining, and data analysis
- Bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
Desired Qualifications
- Past experience developing forecasting solutions and Deep Learning solutions in a professional environment
- PhD in a quantitative field preferred (Computer Science, Math, Statistics, etc)
