Job Summary
Data Scientist to transform raw data into actionable insights and drive analytic initiatives. You'll support the team on-site in Virginia Beach, VA, applying predictive modeling and a range of analytic methods. The role requires Python data analysis with Pandas/Polars, experience with distributed computing (Spark) and data engineering tools (Airflow), familiarity with Postgres, and the ability to communicate insights to customers. You will collaborate with a software development team to translate data science methodologies into lightweight applications (e.g., Streamlit). A TS/SCI clearance is required and U.S. citizenship may be needed.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI Clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Data Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- 9 – 12+ years of experience in data science, data engineering or related technical fields
- Strong expertise with Python and data analysis packages (Pandas and/or Polars)
- Experience with Spark and Airflow
- Experience with Postgres or databases
- Experience with data visualization
- Experience presenting insights to customers
- Experience translating data science results into lightweight applications
- Experience working with software development teams
