Data Scientist, Mid role at Booz Allen “The Opportunity” focuses on unlocking insights from large datasets across IoT, ML/AI, and data-rich environments; you’ll lead the development of algorithms and systems, work with clients to understand questions, and translate data into actionable answers to inform decisions, guiding teammates and applying a mix of tools and frameworks for real-world impact.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience using data science programming languages such as Python or R
- Experience creating ETL pipelines, including querying APIs, cleaning and conditioning data, and creating schemas for data storage
- Experience with version control tools, including git, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning methods
- Ability to design and develop automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms
- Ability to develop solutions and integrate and extend free and open-source software (FOSS) or COTS products
- Ability to generate data visualizations with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or ArcGIS
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in data science, or 7+ years of experience in data science in lieu of a degree
