Job Summary
Data Scientist with GenAI/LLM experience to design, develop, and deploy production-grade GenAI solutions and LLM-powered applications across PwC Australia. Responsibilities include building RAG systems, multi-agent architectures, prompt engineering, data pipelines, and deploying on Azure; mentoring junior data scientists; and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes. The role emphasizes hands-on model development, evaluation, observability, and adherence to MLOps practices in a cloud-native environment. Flexibility around work location is highlighted, with a focus on impactful AI solutions for clients across various industries.
Required Qualifications
- Industrial experience deploying LLM solutions in production environments
- Strong expertise in GenAI/LLM technologies including GPT-4, Claude, Llama, and other foundation models
- Hands-on experience in model selection, fine-tuning, and adaptation
- Proven experience building RAG systems with vector databases and implementing hybrid search strategies
- Experience designing and deploying agentic systems and multi-agent frameworks for complex task orchestration
- Strong Python development skills with modern LLM frameworks
- Deep understanding of prompt engineering techniques
- Hands-on experience with LLM observability and evaluation tools
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerisation, and Azure cloud services (Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, Azure Functions)
- Experience with MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines for ML systems, Git, and agile software development methodologies
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to business stakeholders
- Plus: Traditional ML/DL experience, Typescript, knowledge of guardrails and AI safety frameworks
