Data Scientist

Data Scientist to join Leidos' research-focused data science team and work on challenging, mission-focused analytics for national security programs. The role involves designing, building, and optimizing a Data Science platform to produce and analyze results, disseminate findings, and contribute to publications and presentations. You will work with big data across domains such as cyber security, intelligence analysis, and social media, collaborating with a hybrid team of analysts, software developers, network engineers, and program managers. Responsibilities include supporting multiple projects, extracting novel data sources, improving predictive algorithms, deploying data science applications with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, and presenting insights to non-technical audiences. Desired background includes strong research design, quantitative methods, user interface design, customer outreach, and experience with systems like Elastic Stack, SQL, and Git; familiarity with AWS/C2S and on-prem environments; and experience with knowledge graphs, graph ML, NLP, social network analysis, and related analytics tools.
