Job Summary

Data Scientist lead focusing on ontology and knowledge graph engineering. Author logical data model ontologies and design/maintain knowledge graph mapping assets that connect relational databases, REST APIs, in-memory structures, and real-time streaming sources to a coherent enterprise knowledge graph. Curate semantic taxonomy structures using controlled vocabularies and concept schemes, contribute to upper ontologies and semantic taxonomies, enable virtual knowledge graph capabilities with on-the-fly materialization, and collaborate with data architects, domain SMEs, AI/ML engineers to align ontology decisions with data structures and downstream reasoning/semantic validation. Participate in ontology governance including versioning, change management, and cross-domain alignment reviews; translate complex business and data requirements into formal semantic representations for non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience with semantic web technologies, knowledge graph engineering, ontology development, or linked data systems
  • Familiarity with data mapping concepts
  • Working knowledge of semantic data model layers and schema definition languages
  • Exposure to relational databases and streaming data pipelines
  • Ability to translate business and data requirements into formal semantic models
  • Awareness of Virtual Knowledge Graph concepts and non-physical data movement principles
