Job Summary
Lead and coach a team of data scientists and researchers in the Consumer Bank Affluent Analytics program, guiding end-to-end studies that inform business strategies. Leverage SQL, Python, and statistical methods to analyze diverse datasets, synthesize findings, and deliver executive-quality insights. Partner with sales strategy, senior business executives, and cross-functional teams to share insights on key initiatives. As a people manager, accountable for developing the team, setting goals, providing feedback, and supporting professional growth. Drive process improvements and foster a culture of empathy and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in business strategy, analytics, or data science
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of data scientists and researchers, setting clear goals and expectations to drive high performance
- Proven track record of supporting team members’ career progression and professional development
- Clear and succinct written and verbal communication skills, able to frame and present messages for different audiences
- Critical and analytical thinking, with the ability to maintain detail focus and retain big picture perspective
- Ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities and projects, and thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments, and organizations
- 5+ years of experience planning and executing user research studies, including quantitative and big data analysis
- Strong programming skills in SQL and/or Python; experience working with large datasets
- Proficient in statistical concepts and methods, with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present complex findings to senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience mentoring, training, and managing junior team members
- Ability to drive multiple initiatives independently and manage competing priorities
- PhD/Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Social Science, or a related field
