Job Summary
Data Scientist role focused on leveraging Python and SQL to extract and transform data, build and maintain data pipelines, perform basic analytics including AI techniques, and create visually compelling dashboards and reports using Tableau/Tableau Prep. The position emphasizes data visualization, stakeholder communication, and delivering user-friendly briefs and briefing decks. Collaboration with clients and teams to respond to data requests, working with cloud/data lake environments, and applying analytics to learning-related data and HR/language learning domains. The role is onsite in the Washington Metropolitan Area and requires US citizenship and active Top Secret security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph; benefits include health coverage, 401(k) match, PTO, tuition reimbursement, bonuses, and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience using Python and SQL to extract, transform, format, and load data from a variety of sources/systems
- Demonstrated experience working with data pipelines
- Demonstrated experience identifying and obtaining datasets needed to respond to requests
- Demonstrated experience performing advance analytics (e.g., Artificial Intelligence)
- Demonstrated experience visualizing data and creating dashboards using Tableau and Tableau Prep
- Demonstrated experience developing user-friendly, easy to understand reports and dashboards
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel to work with data and PowerPoint to create briefing decks
- Demonstrated experience communicating (written/oral) with clients and team members
- Demonstrated experience working in a cloud and data lake environment
- Demonstrated experience evaluating, identifying, and implementing AI models
- Demonstrated experience performing basic consulting with clients to clarify needs
- Demonstrated experience with Sponsor's data systems related to language, learning, and/or HR
- Demonstrated experience working with a learning management system
- Demonstrated experience using JIRA
